Catastrophe! Averted?

My laptop is...  in critical condition.
I nearly lost 30k words on an original work, and am now in the process of trying to back up all the separate files ive got cs vs recruits in before i try to reformat.

windows safe mode refuses to boot, which makes me very very sad.

the last time i had an issue like this i somehow overlooked my thesis and the first six chapters of a novel that i realUly liked.
hopefully things go better this time.

this will likely delay frontier updates, but I dont know for how long...

my phone is the only reliable word processor in my life right now, (and for some reason i cant capitalize thing properly...maybe not that reliable after all) so that makes working with ff.net difficult.
wish me luck.

Update: my laptop is still covered by the 3 yr service agreement i purchased along with it, so this might turn out ok.

Writing writing yay!

I have rediscovered the joy of coffee, and managed to nearly finish the next chapter of Frontier, (and some of the chapter after that) and even got down part of one of the Recruits' intro chapters for Chuck & Sarah vs the Recruits.

Why couldn't I have done that at 4 in the afternoon instead of 4 in the morning, you ask? Your guess is as good as mine. As I'm feeling generous, you'll find that bit of Recruits after the break.

Chuck vs the Frontier 26

I apologize in advance, for a Chapter of Chuck vs. the Frontier without an appearance by Chuck. It made sense at the time.

The link to the new chapter is here.

Chuck vs the Frontier 25

I said this chapter would be out earlier in the week, and then LA Noire happened. (And no, I really don't want to write Chuck into Dead Men Don't Wear Plaid, but it might be happening anyway.)

Sorry for the delay.

The chapter can be found here.

Frea O'scanlin, a fellow Chuck Fanfic writer over at Castleinanity.blogspot.com, who is unironically Awesome, made me this cover for Chuck vs. The Frontier, for when I get it finished and turned into a free ebook. The picture is after the break

Chuck vs the Frontier progress

I'm picking up speed on the next chapter, and the story as a whole is rocketing towards its conclusion. (Probably somewhere in the early 30s chapter-wise)

This brings to light a concern. If I'm going to make a Chuck vs the Frontier ebook, like I did for Chuck & Sarah vs Themselves, there aren't really any pictures from the show I could use as the cover.

My photoshop skills are just not up to snuff to put Chuck and Sarah into an old Western movie poster. Any ideas on how to 'frontier-ify' a pic from the show? A screen-cap of Harry Tang in his cowboy costume from Season One is the closest I can think of right now.

Expect chapter 25 of Chuck vs. the Frontier to go up Tuesday night/very early Wednesday morning at the latest.
