NaNoWriMo!

National Novel Writing Month is almost here! I still haven't finished my stories for my thesis, but screw it, I work better on a deadline anyway.

I'm linking to my nanowrimo.org page because it's easier than trying to figure out how many % I am finished with the thing on the fly, and nanowrimo.org is specifically set up to do just that.

At the end of the first week of November I'll put up an excerpt both here on the blog, and on nanowrimo.org.

I still haven't decided which one of the five (yes, five!) novel length projects that I've been back-burnering to attempt for NaNoWriMo, but I'm leaning toward 'non-euclidean-quantum-tesseract-in-back-of-a-panel-van-buddy-roadtrip-adventure.' (This is not the actual title.)

Gearing up for NaNoWriMo

Given the target numbers I'm going to be required to meet during November, of 1667 words a day, minimum just on 'undisclosed NaNoWriMo project', let alone Frontier and Themselves, I'm taking the next couple weeks to retrain myself. My goal is 1000 words today, then incrementing by 100 words a day... until I'm comfortable doing at least 2000 a day so I can keep up roughly the same schedule for Themselves and pepper in some Frontier and Thesis and outline for NaNoWriMo.
And yes, I know that's insane. But in a good way.
By  December first, I'll probably need to sleep for a week.
Also, apparently Caffeine works the same way on my brain as Ritalin. This would have been good to know a month ago.

Today's goal: 1000/1000

Story Posting

The next chapter of Chuck & Sarah vs Themselves is up on ff.net here, I know that site has been screwy lately for a lot of people, myself included. I'm still getting the feel for how blogspot works right now, so I don't really know how to work any possible alternate locations to post chapters. Let me know if its an issue I need to devote more time to.

Thesis news

Meeting with my thesis advisor went well. Learned my plan for 8 stories is above and beyond the call of duty. I only need to write 5 stories. Although I'll need one more semester because the deadline was in October, not November like I thought, that means I might have time to bring Chuck v. the Frontier out of its Hiatus early.
