Chuck & Sarah vs the Recruits Finale

So, wow. It's been another couple of months since I've been back here, remembering to post anything at all.
Chuck & Sarah vs the Recruits is complete. Chapter 32, 33 and brief epilogue can be found here.

That's the last Fanfic project I'll be working on for the foreseeable future. NaNoWriMo is here, and I'm working on original fiction again. You can follow/stalk my progress on my novel here.

Anybody wanting to be my writing buddy for the slog to 50k (and beyond) is welcome.

Falling behind again...

So, I did it again. I've been remiss in posting updates here on the blahg.

Chuck & Sarah vs the Recruits is rapidly nearing its conclusion. Chapter 29 went up yesterday on ff.net and can be found here.

So, I've been what can only be called horribly lax in keeping up with this blog.
Chuck & Sarah vs the Recruits is up to Chapter 24. I'll try to keep better up to date going forward.

I've been pretty bad about keeping up posting here on the blog, so I think it's time for an update.
Chuck & Sarah vs the Recruits is at roughly the half-way point, and I think it's simmering along nicely and about to burst into a boil.
But I'm going to be slowing down in updating to concentrate on my original works. I'm still going to finish Recruits, but my priorities are shifting.

Because let's face it, fanfiction don't pay no bills.

Well, you've all waited patiently (some more or less patiently than others), but I'm finally posting the first chapter of the final story in a planned trilogy.

Finally! I didn't expect that chapter to take two months and 7 chapters of Sunken Treasure to get out.
Only two more chapters of this as well. Hopefully it won't take two months to get those out.

Now the reason that there haven't been any new Chuck vs The Frontier chapters:

Chuck vs the Sunken Treasure

AU: Chuck didn't get kicked out of Stanford, but managed to avoid CIA recruitment.
Sarah's dad managed not to get arrested by the feds and instead fled with his daughter to the Philippines, where they run a marine salvage company.
Coincidentally, when the Roark Seven gaming laptop prototype is lost in a plane crash in the South China Sea, Roark Instruments contracts with Walker Marine Salvage to recover it, sending Chuck to oversee the operation. Sparks fly. Pirates attack. Star Wars is quoted. Not necessarily by Chuck.

Chuck & Sarah vs the Recruits Preview 3

So, while I'm not going to start posting full chapters of the last story in the Chuck & Sarah vs Themselves Trilogy on FF.net until I finish posting vs the Frontier, loyal blog-watchers will probably continue to get bits and pieces like this one: the first half of Chapter 1, after the break.

Oh, and the action picks up a few weeks after the ending of Chuck & Sarah vs the Bunker. This is probably quite obvious through context clues, but in case somehow you've missed out on the fact that Bunker is the sequel to Themselves, this wouldn't make much sense without having read the second story.

Frontier News!

So... Chuck vs the Frontier just got an ending.

I've had the ending in mind for a while, but the sheer logistics of how to get there have been less than clear. Had a breakthrough and wrote the final scene tonight (I know, I know; stop writing out of order, ninja!)

The good news is that this should help me power through, knowing there won't be any 'whoops, now what?' moments past the Fort Knox whoopsie I mentioned at the end of 29.

The other good news is that Chuck vs. The Frontier is going to be longer than I initially thought, because, well, to make a long story short (and is that every the wrong turn of phrase right there) I've added  like three more action sequences that weren't planned originally. So, probably another 10 chapters or so before the end, as opposed to the four or five I was expecting. That's good news, right?

Barring a laptop fire, I should get Chapter 30 up on monday or tuesday, and we'll shoot for at least an update a week from that point forward.
